2010 Competition Repertoire Requirements
Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition

Preliminary Round:
Competitors are to sing 2 operatic arias,
not to exceed 10 minutes in total.

Quarter Final:
Competitors are to sing a programme, not to exceed 15 minutes,
which must include 2 operatic arias.

Semi-Final Round:
Competitors are to sing a programme, not to exceed 25 minutes in total,
which must include 3 arias, 1 of which may be oratorio, and at least 2 songs,
of which 1 must be a German Lied.

Final Concert Round:
Competitors are to sing a programme of operatic arias with orchestra,
not to exceed 16 minutes in total.
One of these arias may be an aria by Mozart which a Competitor
has sung in a previous round.

Please Note:

The adjudicators shall have the right, in the case of duplication of programmes chosen by Competitors for the Final, to substitute one of the arias sung by a Competitor in a previous round for one of the arias the Competitor has chosen for the Final.

All arias and songs must be performed from memory and in the original language. Arias must be sung in the original key. Scores are permitted for oratorio arias. No duplication of arias or art songs is permitted in the submitted programmes, with the exception of an aria by Mozart, chosen for the Final, which may have been sung in a previous round.
